Gate Valve is a genuinely new equipment_category — it appeared only as a family name in the general catalog with no matrix cell. Distinctive construction worth publishing: a sliding cylindrical (tapered) plug design giving a larger seating area than a conventional gate valve, no metal-to-media contact anywhere, non-rising stem, body-bottom clean-out/drain plug, full vacuum service rating, positive bubble-tight shut-off, sealed visual position indicator. The three size-dependent pressure tiers are the real quoting trap: a 12" Type P is rated to half the pressure of a 4".
