Strongest reason it must exist: Asahi's Advanced PE table lists hydrogen peroxide at up to 100% with a hard requirement of 'Diaphragm Valves required' plus PVDF/PTFE wetted materials — a valve-TYPE requirement tied to an oxidizer chemistry, not an elastomer choice. Three vendors converge on the same permeation-barrier engineering (Asahi's PVDF gas barrier standard on all PTFE-diaphragm valves to protect the EPDM backing; Hayward's optional PVDF vapor barrier; Richter's TFM-PTFE over EPDM). Richter's floating diaphragm-to-stem connection is a real mechanical differentiator.
